Luana Beline Faria

I am a registered nurse graduated from the Faculdade de Medicina de São José do Rio Preto (FAMERP), where I developed a strong professional and academic foundation. During my undergraduate studies, I distinguished myself through proactivity and dedication, gaining experience in various areas of Nursing. My clinical rotations in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Inpatient Units, and Obstetric Emergency at the Hospital da Criança e Maternidade (HCM) provided me with extensive clinical and patient care knowledge. Additionally, I completed clinical rotations in inpatient units at the Hospital de Base and an extracurricular rotation in the Surgical Center of HB. I honed my skills in wound care and dressings, demonstrating my commitment to quality of care, by actively participating in the Wound Care Group at the General and Specialty Outpatient Clinic of HB, which focused on the treatment of complex wounds with biweekly consultations. Concurrently with my undergraduate studies, I led a research project funded by FAPESP in Translational Neuroscience at the Laboratory of Experimental Physiology at FAMERP. This project contributed to the understanding of the effects of manipulation and substance administration in animal models of epilepsy, an area where chronic drug administration is frequent and the long-term effects of these medications are poorly understood. I was responsible for all stages of the project, enhancing my skills in management, leadership, and communication. Furthermore, I served as the associate coordinator of the Extension Department of the Nursing Academic Center, where I refined my organizational and teamwork abilities. I was also a member of the Neuroscience League and the League for the Care of Neglected Populations. All the activities I undertook were essential in strengthening my competencies in leadership, strategic planning, teamwork, assertive communication, and complex problem-solving.
