Graduated in Physical Education (bachelor's and teaching degree) from Centro Universitário Senac (2017). Holds a Ph.D. in Sciences from the Hospital das Clínicas of the University of São Paulo (HC-FMUSP), with research conducted at the Institute of Radiology (InRad), completing the Ph.D. in 2023. Currently, is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry (IPq) of HC-FMUSP, funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). Additionally, is a research member of the Obsessive-Compulsive Spectrum Disorders Program (PROTOC), the Exercise Neuroscience Research Group (NEUREX), and the Strength Training Adaptations Laboratory of Adaptations to Strength Training at the School of Physical Education and Sport at the University of São Paulo (EEFE-USP). Acácio has extensive experience in the field of Physical Education and training, with a special focus on mental health, neuroimaging, cognition, and neurodegenerative diseases.
