Birthplace: Brazil

Pharmacist graduated from the University of Araraquara UNIARA (2024), where she was awarded the Paulo Minami Prize by the São Paulo Regional Pharmacy Council (CRF-SP) as the top student of her class. She conducted undergraduate research at ITox-Lab (Laboratory of Immunology and Toxinology) at FCFAR-UNESP with a FAPESP scholarship (grant no. 2023/15381-1), focusing on the study of Bothrops snake venoms for the discovery of new therapies for leukemia and lymphoma. As part of this project, she completed a one-month international research internship at the University of Reading, United Kingdom, also funded by FAPESP (grant no. 2024/08990-4). Currently, she is pursuing a Masters degree at FCFAR-UNESP in the Graduate Program in Biosciences and Biotechnology Applied to Pharmacy, with a FAPESP scholarship (grant no. 2025/00704-5). Her project aims to enhance the production, expression, and functional validation of a human monoclonal antibody with therapeutic potential. The work involves steps such as molecular engineering, expression in yeast systems (Pichia pastoris), purification, and biological validation assays, with the goal of advancing the Serrumab technology to a higher stage of technological development (TRL6). Beyond her academic background, she actively participated in outreach and science communication activities related to venomous animals, including the "Venom Talks" project. From 2021 to 2023, she worked in public health, dispensing and advising on medications at Primary Health Care Units. Between April and August 2023, she also worked at a compounding pharmacy as a formulation assistant, where she was responsible for quality control and preparation of pharmaceutical formulations. She has solid experience in scientific research, with emphasis on toxicology, immunology, and biotechnology, and is proficient in blood coagulation analysis using the ROTEM technique, as well as enzymatic assays, cell culture, SDS-PAGE, and the development of experimental models for validating innovative therapies.
