Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto (FFCLRP)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated with a Bachelors and Teaching Degree in Biological Sciences from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto (FFCLRP) at the University of São Paulo (USP), she conducted her Undergraduate Research in the Laboratory of Community Ecology and Ecosystem Functioning at the same institution. Her main field of expertise is Plant Physiology and Ecology, with an emphasis on photosynthesis. She worked as a Student Assistant Intern in the Earth and Environmental Sciences Area, within the Ecology Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (USA). Her research interests focus on the primary metabolism of carbon and energy in plants including processes such as photosynthesis and respiration and on understanding the factors that regulate water use and plant growth. She has experience in both laboratory and field studies, including isotope experiments and the use of advanced methodologies and instruments, such as absorption and cavity spectrometers for trace gases and stable isotope analysis, as well as online mass spectrometry for volatile organic compounds. She has also worked with plant hydraulics, including sap flow measurements, leaf transpiration, and water potential, in addition to monitoring environmental variables such as soil moisture and air temperature. Furthermore, she is experienced in using gas exchange systems in leaves and branches under controlled environmental conditions. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
