Bachelor's degree in Forestry Engineering from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), Master's degree in Forestry Engineering from the same university and PhD in Forestry Science from the Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP), with a sandwich doctorate at the University of Florida (USA) financed through the CAPES Print program. He developed research activities in the areas of Forest Management, Forest Ecology, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems, Forestry, Conservation Genetics and Ecological Restoration. He was a member of the Center for Studies in Management of Conservation Units (NEUC-UFLA) and Engenheiros Sem Fronteiras-Núcleo Lavras, as well as a volunteer in the Rondon Project. In the job market, he worked on the environmental regularization of rural properties, working both on the creation and analysis of the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR). He has expertise in forest and ecological restoration, adaptive management and tropical forest ecology. He is a member of the Brazilian Society for Ecological Restoration (SOBRE) and works as a researcher (UFSCar post-doctorate) in a project focused on designing strategies for restoring the Atlantic Forest in the São Paulo state (Brazil) (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
