Paula Martins is researching the intersection between sustainability and performance art, focusing on costume and set design. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Fausto Roberto Poço Viana, the researcher is currently exploring how ecological philosophy can improve design and artistic practices through the research 'Ecoscenography the modus operandi of a possible theatrical future: sustainable artistic practices on the theater scene in the city of São Paulo', funded by the São Paulo State Research Foundation (FAPESP), process no. 2023/11066-4. Master of Arts (2022), her master's research was funded by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel Academic Excellence Program (CAPES-PROEX), entitled 'The Use of Masks in Bakkhantes of the Teatro Malandro: a study on stage costume', under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Fausto Roberto Poço Viana. Member of the Research Group on Costume, Costume, and Scenic Technology at the University of São Paulo. Set and costume designer from the SP Drama School technical course (2018). BA in Visual Arts from the State University of Santa Catarina (2014).
