Birthplace: Brazil

Researcher in the area of #8203;#8203;Biotechnology, focusing on molecular genetics, biochemistry of nutrition and metabolism. PhD and master (CAPES) in Biotechnology from the University of Ribeirão Preto (UNAERP), she is currently carrying out a post-doctorate at the University of São Paulo (USP), investigating the reverse transport of cholesterol mediated by HDL and its relationship with hepatic lipogenesis. His academic career includes research on the chemical modulation of inflammatory cytokines in cachexia induced by chemotherapy agents and the cellular and molecular interaction of Trichophyton rubrum with human macrophages. He has experience in evaluating genetic polymorphisms, lipid metabolism and inflammatory biomarkers in patients with cancer and other metabolic diseases. Its activities range from basic research in molecular biology to clinical studies applied to oncology and metabolism, always with the aim of developing new therapeutic approaches for complex diseases. Currently, in his postdoctoral studies at USP (FAPESP), he is investigating the role of reverse cholesterol transport mediated by HDL in the regulation of hepatic lipogenesis and hepatic steatosis. His research seeks to understand the molecular mechanisms involved and explore potential therapeutic strategies for Fatty Liver Disease Associated with Metabolic Dysfunction (GMHD), one of the most prevalent chronic liver diseases in the world.
