Lucas is a physiotherapist and Master's candidate in Health Sciences (Phty). During his bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy, he served as the president of the Academic League of Sports and Orthopedic Physiotherapy (LAFEO) and completed internships at Esporte Clube Pinheiros. Lucas also conducted scientific projects under the supervision of Professor Dr. Sandra Freitas, focusing on intra- and inter-rater validation for a manual dexterity assessment test and the evaluation of clinical characteristics influencing postural control in neurological conditions. Currently, Lucas holds a Master's scholarship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and is dedicated to investigating clinical factors affecting postural control mechanisms, balance, gait, and the prevalence and incidence of falls in people with Parkinson's disease. Additionally, during his Master's program, he was awarded a grant and completed a three-month research internship (SeptemberNovember) at Neuroscience Research Australia, in Sydney, Australia. He volunteers for the Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro) and McMaster Online Rating of Evidence (MORE) Rehab and is a student member of the International Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Society (MDS). Moreover, he contributes as a citizen scientist to the Cochrane Collaboration, the WhIch Systematic Evidence Synthesis is besT (WISEST) project, and the Global Burden of Disease initiative. His research interests include clinical aspects of neurological diseases, motor rehabilitation, motor behavior, epidemiology, and research methodology. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
