Javam C. Machado is a full professor at the Computer Science Department at UFC, where he founded and coordinates, for more than 10 years, the Laboratory for Systems and Databases (LSBD). Javam earned a doctorate at the Université Joseph Fourier - Grenoble I - France (1995) and was director of information technology and coordinator of technological innovation at the Pro-Rectory of Research, also at UFC. He was also coordinator of the SBC Special Database Commission (2017) and visiting researcher at TelecomSudParis FR (2001) and AT & T Labs-Research USA (2018 and 2020). At the moment, professor Javam is scientifically interested in the areas of data privacy and non-discrimination in machine learning techniques. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
