I have a degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar, Brazil) (2008), a Master's degree in Ecology and Natural Resources from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar, Brazil) (2011) and a PhD in Ecology and Conservation from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS, Brazil) (2017) with a sandwich doctoral fellowship (CAPES/PDSE) at the Royal Ontario Museum (Canada) (2017). I am Associate Professor A-1 at the Department of Engineering and Environment (DEMA) of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), Rio Tinto Campus, head of the laboratory and leader of the CNPq research group of the same name "Molecular Ecology and Integrative Taxonomy". I have experience in the field of ecology, systematics, taxonomy, evolution and genetics of organisms. I work mainly with molecular techniques for the identification and description of Brazilian fauna and flora, DNA barcoding, phylogeny and molecular phylogeography, integrative taxonomy and taxonomy of recent groups.
