Wellen Cristina Alves Bezerra

I am a biologist from Rio de Janeiro and completed my undergraduate degree at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO). While my previous experience primarily revolved around zooplankton ecology, my current focus has shifted toward population ecology, sexual selection and modeling. I am currently pursuing a master's program in Ecology at the University of São Paulo (USP), where I am deeply engaged in the investigation of how sexual selection influences population dynamics. My research focuses on the examination of the ecological costs associated with the exaggerated armaments found in male dimorphic species that exhibit alternative reproductive tactics.
