Bachelors degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). Former intern and undergraduate research fellow at EMBRAPA Pecuária Sudeste, working in the field of plant molecular genetics applied to the improvement of forage grasses and pigeon pea. Masters degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of Campinas (Unicamp), with emphasis on Plant Genetics and Breeding, developing a transcriptome analysis project of Paspalum regnellii infested with the pasture spittlebug (Mahanarva spectabilis) to elucidate the molecular basis of resistance. PhD fellow funded by FAPESP, conducting research on the prospection of target genes for RNAi-mediated silencing aimed at controlling Mahanarva spittlebugs in sugarcane and pastures. Currently, exchange PhD student at Ghent University (UGent), Belgium, focusing on the evaluation of dsRNA efficiency in controlling the brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens).
