Rafael Barbosa

Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos in the Department of Materials Engineering (UFScar/DEMa). He was a substitute professor at the Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP - Araraquara campus) and a professor of engineering at the Claretian University Center. He has experience in the area of Materials Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, working as a researcher mainly in the following areas: Processing and characterization of polymers, polymeric and elastomeric nanocomposites, conductive elastomers, polymeric sensors and actuators, polymer recycling with emphasis on elastomers, polymeric insulators and development of new materials. He worked as a researcher at the Center for Characterization and Development of Materials (CCDM/UFSCar) in a research project with Petrobras and in other materials development projects. He is currently the Coordinator of the Center for Technological Information in Materials at UFSCar (NIT/Materials). PhD (2022) and Master's (2017) in Materials Science and Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from UNESP (2013).
