Giovanna Carrasco Bueno

Graduated in Biomedicine from the Centro Universitário das Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas (FMU) in 2024. During her undergraduate studies, she developed an interest in the fields of Genetics, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, and Microbiology. She served as Vice Director of Communication at the Academic League of Molecular and Structural Biology, contributing to the planning and execution of academic projects, and was a teaching assistant in the course of Molecular and Genetic Processes, enhancing her teaching skills and deepening her theoretical and practical knowledge.She carried out scientific research at the Instituto Paulista de Resistência aos Antimicrobianos, linked to the Research, Innovation, and Diffusion Center (CEPID-ARIES) of the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP). In this project, she investigated the phenotypic and molecular characterization of environmental bacterial isolates, focusing on antimicrobial resistance mechanisms.Currently, she is a volunteer at the Médicos do Mundo project, where she performs rapid laboratory tests in populations in situations of social vulnerability, demonstrating her commitment to social impact initiatives and health promotion.
