Guilherme Moura Fagundes is an environmental anthropologist, STS scholar and filmmaker working on the technodiversity of ecological management. His current research focuses on fire management and the production of pyrodiversity in the Brazilian Savanna (Cerrado), exploring Quilombola ecologies and environmental conservation technologies through a multimodal ethnography. Before joining as Associate Professor at University of São Paulo, he was visiting scholar at Princeton University (2021-2022), University of Brasília (2019-2021) and Collége de France (2017), where he is a member of the "Anthropologie de la Vie" research group. His research and audiovisual pieces received numerous academic accolades, as the ICS / UnB Award (2020), CAPES Award (2020), Lélia Gonzales Award (2020) and Pierre Verger Award for Ethnographic Film (2018), and Photo Essay (2020). He is preparing his first book, supported by Prix Jeune Chercheur (2022) from the Société des Américanistes (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
