Currently a Ph.D. student in Pathology, Paloma earned a Master of Science degree in the field of Pathology in 2023 from the Graduate Program in Pathology at the Botucatu School of Medicine - UNESP. She commenced her master's studies in 2021, focusing on research in Toxicological Pathology, investigating the mechanisms of action of Diuron and its metabolites (DCA and DCPMU) in Zebrafish, with an emphasis on mitochondrial dysfunction, genotoxicity, and mutagenicity.Her professional journey includes the completion of a technical course in Environmental Sciences, during which she coordinated a social project addressing topics such as social agriculture, environmental health, elderly care, social marginalization, and therapeutic horticulture.During her undergraduate studies, she served as a volunteer instructor for the Geography course at FCA Cram School and was a member of the Student Directory of the School of Agricultural Sciences. In 2016, she was a PROEX scholarship recipient, participating in the "University in the School" project in collaboration with faculty from the Department of Bioprocesses and Biotechnology. She has been a member of the Environmental Impact Assessment in Human Health Unit (TOXICAM), located at the Experimental Research Unit of the Botucatu School of Medicine since 2019, where she conducted her Scientific Initiation research.She has a strong interest and experience in the fields of Environmental Sciences, Toxicology, Pathology, Bioprinting, Cell Culture, and Biotechnology, with a specialization in Environmental Toxicology and the utilization of the Zebrafish model in both in vivo and in vitro settings.
