Served as a visiting researcher at Indiana University (IU), USA, where she developed data modeling techniques using structural equation modeling (SEM). Her research focuses on how agricultural diversification and the use of cover crops affect soil health and yield stability in southern Brazil, a region highly impacted by climate change.
