Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Faculdade de Zootecnia e Engenharia de Alimentos (FZEA)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Veterinarian graduated from the Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG) in 2022. During her undergraduate studies, she was a PIBIC-CNPq scholarship holder (2021-2022) and conducted an innovative project on the cytotoxic effects of extracts from various Cerrado plants on canine mammary carcinoma cells in vitro. With a growing interest in oncology, the researcher completed an internship at the Laboratory of Comparative and Translational Oncology (LOCT) at the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in 2022. Currently, she is a master's student in the Animal Bioscience program at the Fernando Costa campus of the Universidade de São Paulo, under the guidance of Associate Professor Heidge Fukumasu. Her current master's project involves the genetic recombination of the oncolytic Newcastle disease virus with specific chemokines from immune system cells. This strategy aims to enhance the antitumor response by harnessing the immunomodulatory properties of chemokines and the oncolytic virus's ability to selectively target tumor cells. Additionally, she is developing an additional project in collaboration with Proteimax, evaluating the therapeutic efficiency of biologically active peptides in canine breast cancer cells. In addition to her veterinary medicine degree, the researcher also has technical training in Environmental Control from the Instituto Federal de Goiás (IFG). She demonstrates complementary skills by having started a first degree in Graphic Design at UFG between 2015 and 2016, which has been valuable for her work in scientific outreach in her current research area. The researcher has a keen interest in comparative and translational molecular oncology, intracellular peptides, and immunotherapy as potential avenues for more effective cancer treatments.
