Graduated in Medicine from the Faculdade de Ciências Médicas de Minas Gerais and completed a Medical Residency in Anesthesiology at the Hospital das Clínicas, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). He is a specialist in Anesthesiology certified by the Sociedade Brasileira de Anestesiologia (SBA/AMB) and holds the Título Superior em Anestesiologia from the same institution.Currently, he serves as the Co-Coordinator of the Medical Residency Program in Anesthesiology at the Disciplina de Anestesiologia, Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), with a focus on information technology processes for healthcare management.He earned a Masters degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Health from the Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), where he studied emergence delirium and cognitive changes in pediatric anesthesia. He holds a PhD from the Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP), with research focused on epigenetic changes in children with emergence delirium.He is currently an Associate Editor for the Brazilian Journal of Anesthesiology, Editor-in-Chief of Perioperative Anesthesia Reports, a Member of the Editorial Board for Pediatric Anesthesia, and an Academic Editor for Case Reports in Anesthesiology.He is conducting Postdoctoral research in Anesthesiology at FMUSP with the LASOS-Peds (Latin American Surgical Outcomes Study in Pediatrics) project. He is a Visiting Professor of Anesthesiology at the Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile, and was recently invited as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Boston Childrens Hospital, United States.
