PhD in Genetics (2007) and post-doctoral research experience (2007-2012) at the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Sao Paulo, with focus on genetics of genetics of complex diseases and pharmacogenetics. Post-doctoral research experience (2012-2014) at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), with focus on functional and computational genomics by applying RNA-seq and ChIP-seq to characterize novel gene regulatory sequences and pathways associated with the variability to drug responses. In 2014, I returned to Brazil as Young Talent Attraction Research Fellow from CNPq. Since 2016 I am Professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. I am currently focused on gene-gene interactions and pathway analysis to the genetics and pharmacogenetics of preeclampsia and gestational hypertension.
