holds degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1994) and PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2000). He is currently Full Professor at the Rio de Janeiro State University. He has experience in the area of thermodynamics, with emphasis on Industrial Operations and Equipment for Chemical Engineering, acting mainly on the following topics: thermodynamic models, molecular simulation, speed of sound in fluids, petroleum fractions characterization, asphaltene and paraffin precipitation, membrane separation, separation in pressurized fluids and by adsorption and modeling of properties of ionic liquid, deep eutectic solvents and associative systems.
