Graduated in Biological Sciences from UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais) with an emphasis on the environmental area. She completed an internship (FAPEMIG) at the Laboratory of Biodiversity and Molecular Evolution (LBEM) at the same university with Prof. Dr. Fabrício dos Santos, where she conducted her Scientific Initiation project. She studied the genetics and evolution of hybrid marine turtles between loggerhead turtles and hawksbill turtles from the Abrolhos Archipelago (Abrolhos Marine National Park). She participated in a sandwich undergraduate program at Université de Lille, France, with a research period at the Development Plasticity of the Neuroendocrine Brain laboratory under Prof. Dr. Paolo Giacobini.She is currently a Direct PhD student at the University of São Paulo (USP) - Ribeirão Preto, in the Department of Comparative Biology, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tiana Kohlsdorf, studying the evo-devo of the autopodium in Gymnophthalmidae (Squamata), focusing on the genetic processes related to phenotypic novelties in vertebrate clades (FAPESP). She conducted part of her PhD research at BeGenDiv (The Berlin Center for Genomics in Biodiversity Research) with Prof. Dr. Camila Mazzoni, in Germany (PDSE/CAPES). She has been approved for a research stay at the Natural History Museum in London under the supervision of Dr. Marco Camaiti.She is actively involved in science outreach projects and believes that a plural and diverse scientific community is essential for the development of society.
