Graduate at Ciências Biológicas Licenciatura e Bacharelado from Universidade de São Paulo (1990), master's at Geology from Universidade de São Paulo (1994) and Ph.D. at Geology from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1999). Has experience in Geosciences, focusing on stratigraphic paleontology, acting on the following subjects: paleobotânica, paleophytogeography, phytostratigraphy and plant paleoecology.It has extensive experience in Carboniferous Notorhacopteris and Permian Glossopteris floras from Paraná and Parnaíba basins, in Brazil, and from Bolivia and Peru.
