Graduated in Electrical Engineering in 1992 from EFEI, now UNIFEI, where he also obtained a Master's degree in Energy Engineering in 2005 and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering in 2013. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Itajubá - UNIFEI, a member of the ISEE - Institute of Electrical Systems and Energy faculty and a member of EXCEN - Center of Excellence in Energy Efficiency.
