Cassia da Silva Moraes

Psychologist graduated from Universidade Nove de Julho (UNINOVE) and specialist in Clinical Sexology, with multidisciplinary expertise at the intersection of mental health, neurodiversity, and scientific communication.As a FAPESP Fellow in Science Journalism for the FLOREAH Project (Institute of Psychiatry, University of São Paulo IPq-USP) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Elizabeth Shepard, I worked on disseminating psychiatric research through multimedia resources, in collaboration with Canal Futura and the Roberto Marinho Foundation. I also contributed to the IMPECS Project (USP), investigating neurodiversity and human flourishing.Academic research: Conducted scientific initiations on sexual education and abuse prevention in neurodivergent children, with expertise in qualitative methodologies (systematic reviews, thematic analysis).Clinical practice: Therapeutic support for neurodivergent children and adolescents, using Psychoanalytic and Interactionist Theory frameworks.International engagement: Presented research at IACAPAP 2024 and was selected for the Donald J. Cohen Fellowship Program (leadership in child/adolescent mental health).Science communication: Lectures at the II National Meeting of Psychiatry Graduate Programs and the FLOREAH Project Symposium (USP), focusing on autism.Additional training in Childhood Sexual Education (Ello Cursos) and proficiency in scientific communication (Portuguese/English), methodological design, and group coordination.
