Youlia Kamei Saito graduated in Surveying and Cartography Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa (2017), Master in Civil Engineering (Area: Spatial Information) from the Federal University of Viçosa (2020) and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Applied Meteorology at the same university. She served as a fellow in the Science Without Borders Program funded by CNPq in Undergraduate Sandwich at the University of the West of England, in Bristol - England from June 2014 to August 2015. She took the course "Management of farmlands, forests and wildlife habitat using GIS, GPS, and Remote Sensing techniques" at Rakuno Gakuen University, Japan, as a JICA fellow (2018/2019).
