Birthplace: Brazil

Iara Souza Lima received her Bachelor's Degree in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology (2017), from the Educational Center of the Barretos Foundation (UNIFEB). During her graduation period (2016) she carried out a scientific initiation at the Magnetic Resonance Laboratory of the Physics Department of the University of São Paulo (USP-FFCLRP) in the area of radiarion dosimetry. In (2019) she completes her master's degree in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology, during the master's degree she received an Honorable Mention in the Best Dissertation Award from CAPES Evaluation of the Graduate program of the Physics Applied to Medicine (FAMB) course. In her MSc she focused on the use of nanomaterials to increase dosimetric sensitivity and also for biomedical applications. Throughout her master's degree she worked with Electronic Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) dosimetry. During this period, she studied nanocomposites of different dosimetric materials based on amino acids, wanting to understand how the percentage of gold nanoparticles and their dose influenced dosimetric gains. She has experience in the development of noble metal (Au, Pt and Ag) nanoparticle synthesis by chemical reduction and microfluidic methods. Currently, he is continuing his doctorate in the area of Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology at the University of São Paulo (USP-FFCLRP), with an emphasis on her project on dosimetric enhancement using metallic nanoparticles for other techniques such as dosimetric gel (Frieck-orange) and biomedical applications such as drug delivery.
