Sandra Julia Lima de Sousa

Undergraduate student in Agronomic Engineering at the "Luiz de Queiroz" College of Agriculture, University of São Paulo (ESALQ/USP). Currently, she is a scholarship holder of the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), developing her project at the Integrated Pest Management Laboratory (MIP-ESALQ), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Pedro Takao Yamamoto. The project is entitled "Selectivity of agricultural pesticides used in cotton crops to Jaliscoa grandis Burks (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae), a parasitoid of Anthonomus grandis Boheman (Coleoptera: Curculionidae)."Also at the Integrated Pest Management Laboratory, she was a scholarship holder in the Unified Scholarship Program (PUB) between 2023 and 2024, contributing to the development of remote pest monitoring strategies through the research project "Hyperspectral sensing as a tool for monitoring the two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae) in soybean."In 2024, she interned with the PACES Group (Projecting Agriculture Committed to Responsibility), which is based on both theoretical and practical knowledge in topics such as soil health, fertilization, and major crops, with a focus on sustainable management.In 2023, she completed supervised internships in the field of Weed Biology and Management, under the guidance of Professors Dr. Ricardo Victoria Filho and Dr. Rafael Munhoz Pedroso, gaining experience in research and weed species management practices.Additionally, she was a member of PRO-HORT Research and Extension Group in Plant Production and Weed Science from 2022 to 2023, where she was involved in agricultural experimentation activities, pesticide application, and crop management using herbicides.
