Bachelors degree in Anthropology, Licentiate degree in General Social Sciences, and Masters degree in Sociology (with an emphasis on Environment and Society) from the Graduate Program in Sociology (PPGS) at Unicamp. During his masters studies, he actively participated in the FAPESP project The Climate Change Multilevel and Multistakeholders Governance Challenge in Brazil (The Case of São Paulo State) (process no. 19/14867-2). He is currently a FAPESP fellow in the Interunits Graduate Program in Applied Ecology (PPGI-EA) at USP and is involved in two thematic projects funded by the agency: Assessment of the Potential for Improvement and Expansion of Public Policies Favorable to the Implementation and Development of Agroforestry Systems in Federal Agrarian Reform Settlements in the State of São Paulo (process no. 2023/10133-0) and Transdisciplinarity for Human-Wildlife Coexistence in Shared and Spared Landscapes (process no. 2023/11823-0). In addition, he is a member of the following research groups and laboratories: Laboratory of Social Dimensions of Global Environmental Change in the Global South (LABGEC) at Unicamp; Research Group on Emerging and Alternative Agricultures (AGREMAL) at USP; Human Ecology Laboratory (LEHMA) at Unicamp; and Laboratory of Ecology, Management and Conservation of Fauna (LEMaC) at USP. His research focuses on globalization and climate change, human-wildlife coexistence, agroecology, memory and social conflicts in rural areas, as well as environmental justice and ecological critique in Brazil.
