PhD in Business Economics from Insper, he holds a degree in Economics from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Health Research Center at Insper, working on a thematic project funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). Served as an assistant teaching professor at Insper, teaching Statistics courses at undergraduate and doctoral levels. He also worked as a research assistant for Professor Diana Moreira (UC Davis), collaborating on a project about the impacts of procurement risk on government effectiveness, focusing on public health. Previously, he was a program evaluation consultant at Beneficência Portuguesa de São Paulo in the context of PROADI, contributing to the design and development of impact evaluations for social projects. His academic interests include applied microeconomics, economics of education, health economics, and climate change. He has experience in data analysis and handling large public databases, with advanced skills in software and programming, including R and Stata. In addition to his academic and professional activities, Ivan has participated in social projects, such as building emergency housing for families in underprivileged communities in Brazil, and has presented papers at conferences such as the 45th Meeting of the Brazilian Econometric Society and the Annual LACEA-LAMES Meeting.
