Researcher with a degree in Biological and Health Sciences from the Methodist University of São Paulo (2009), a master's degree in Sciences (Human Physiology) from the University of São Paulo (2012) and a PhD in Sciences (Human Physiology) from the University of São Paulo (2017) . His area of #8203;#8203;specialization is Physiology, with an emphasis on Neurosciences. He has experience in studies on neuronal connexins, electrical synapses and neurodegeneration, with emphasis on his contributions to the characterization of connexins in the postnatal development of the hippocampus and the expression of connexins in retinal neurodegeneration. Currently, he is researching the impact of neuromodulators on hippocampal and cortical synaptic regulation during development and aging in physiological and pathological conditions.
