Researcher at the Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Innovation, Postdoctoral Fellow at the Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz", University of Sao Paulo. Awarded a competitive position in the Talents Attraction and Retention Programme at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. A former research fellow at the Asia-Pacific Center for Environmental Law at the National University of Singapore, the Department of Law and Computer Science at University College London, England, and the Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies at Yale University, USA. She has twice been a fellow of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (PhD and Sandwich). Prof. Dr. Danielle Mendes Thame Denny specialises in sustainability. She has a PhD in international environmental law. She is currently researching pasture restoration as a nature-based solution to climate change: legal, political and governance challenges. She has been a lawyer in Brazil since 2001, with an LLM in Tax Law, specialisation in Public Administration (City Management), Corporate Diplomacy and International Relations, and a Master in Contemporary Communication. Former researcher at the Centre for Applied Economic Studies (CEPEA). She worked for the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, contributing to a report on sustainability and international trade in Brazil. She is currently one of the authors of the chapter on Latin America and the Caribbean in: 1) Global Environmental Outlook, and 2) The Climate Technology Progress Report, global assessments organized by the United Nations Environment Programme.
