Lara Aguiar Cavalcante

Architect and Urban Planner, graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (FAUUSP). She has research experience, specifically in the areas of territorial planning, spatial analysis, social indicators, housing rights, and climate change, as well as in evaluating public policies related to urban management and policy. She also has expertise in technical consulting for developing community-based risk management plans. From 2020 to 2023, she was a member of the Covid-19, Race, and Territory Working Group at Instituto Pólis. Between 2021 and 2023, she worked as a collaborating researcher for the Racism and Health Working Group at the Brazilian Association of Collective Health (ABRASCO). She is currently a recipient of a Technological and Industrial Development Grant (DTI-B) from CNPq for the research project 'UrbVerde PP: Public Policies for Territorial Qualification Aimed at Climate Adaptation and Reducing Inequalities,' developed by the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (IAU/USP) in partnership with the Greater ABC Intermunicipal Consortium and the Diadema Municipal Government.
