José Gabriel Gonçalves Lins

He holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Paraíba and a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science (FMVZ) at UNESP, Botucatu Campus, with a focus on Parasitic Diseases of Animals. He earned his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from FMVZ/UNESP, Botucatu Campus, in the field of Preventive Veterinary Medicine. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinic at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, São Paulo State University (UNESP). He previously served as a Specialist Researcher responsible for the Local Productive Arrangement of Goat Farming at the Secretariat of Family Agriculture and Semi-Arid Development, Government of the State of Paraíba. His expertise includes Parasitology, Immunology, and Clinical Veterinary Pathology, as well as Sustainable Animal Production, with an emphasis on Ruminant Health and Production. He was a recipient of professional development grants (PROBEX, PIBICT, PIBITI), a CAPES scholarship for a sandwich undergraduate program abroad, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biotechnology at the Institute of Technology Sligo in Ireland, and was a Laureate of the 2017.1 Veterinary Medicine class at IFPB, being honored by the Regional Council of Veterinary Medicine (CRMV) of Paraíba. His doctoral thesis won 1st place in the Agrarian Sciences category at the Unesp Thesis Award - 7th edition - 2024, São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho". (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
