Beatriz Calasense de Campos

I am a Master's student in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology and Pathogenic Bioagents at FMRP-USP, investigating the relationship between Chikungunya virus infection and lipid droplets. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto (FMRP-USP). I was a CNPq scientific initiation scholarship holder, where I worked on the characterization of adipocyte infection by the Chikungunya virus and the metabolic impacts of this infection. Currently, I am part of the volunteer network of União Pró-Vacina, an informational network about vaccines linked to the Institute of Advanced Studies at USP - Ribeirão Preto (IEARP-RP), where I work in science communication (@upvacina on Instagram).
