Patricia de Sena Piacsek Borges

I graduated in Biological Sciences from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF) in 2011. I obtained my master's and doctorate in Geosciences in the Department of Environmental Geochemistry of UFF (CAPES 6) in 2014 and 2020, respectively. I complemented my education with specializations in Environmental Management from UCAM/AVM (2014) and a degree in Biological Sciences also from UCAM/AVM (2019). I completed my postdoctoral studies at the Laboratory of Radioecology and Global Changes (LARAMG) of the Department of Biophysics and Biometrics of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) in 2021 and the Institute of Geosciences of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México (UNAM), from 2022 to 2024. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Geosciences of the University of São Paulo (USP). My research uses various geochemical tools to reconstruct the effects of climate and landscape variability throughout the geological past, especially during the Quaternary period. I seek to understand and elucidate the processes influencing paleoenvironments, continental hydrogeochemistry, and paleoceanography. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
