The interaction between the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) and the CRH-ACTH-Adrenal axis (also known as the HPA axis, hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal) is a central aspect of the stress response, which, when deregulated, can compromise an individual's metabolic health.
