Holds a degree in Medicine (1989), residency in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology (1992), a masters degree in Endocrinology (1995), and a doctorate in Medicine (Clinical Endocrinology; 1999), all from the Paulista School of Medicine - Federal University of São Paulo (EPM-UNIFESP). Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at EPM/UNIFESP since September 2019, participating in the clinical training of 3rd, 4th, and 5th-year medical students, and serving as Coordinator of the Adult Semiology Course. Since January 2004, she has been a tenured physician, Assistant Doctor in the Endocrinology discipline at EPM-UNIFESP, where she supervises undergraduate students, medical residents, and postgraduates, always prioritizing the holistic training of these doctors. She collaborates with the Translational Development and Obesity clinics - pre and post-bariatric surgery. Her main areas of focus are: Turner Syndrome, gonadal and sexual development disorders, diabetes mellitus and its complications, hypertension and its secondary causes, and obesity. Currently, she is conducting research in the area of sex development disorders, focusing on Turner Syndrome. She maintains the Turner Womens Support Group, with informative and training activities for Turner Syndrome patients. She also participates in research on metabolic aspectts of developmental disorders and obesity. She has won several awards, the main ones being - 1st place in the Young Investigator in Montreal, Canada, in 1995, with the work Altered blood pressure profile, autonomic neuropathy and nephropathy in insulin-dependent diabetic patients, and in 1997 in Mexico City, with the theme Influence of autonomic neuropathy on left ventricular dysfunction in insulin-dependent diabetics, Young Investigator Travel Award in Amsterdam in 1998, for The influence of vasopressin action on blood pressure profile in type 1 diabetics with severe autonomic neuropathy, and the National Procópio do Valle II Award in 2007, in Salvador, BA, with the theme Intensive treatment versus isolated pancreas transplant in type 1 diabetics - a pharmacoeconomic study.
