Chemistry technician with knowledge of good laboratory practices, biosafety, materials planning and waste treatment. Currently is a biology undergratuate student at Federal University of Minas Gerais working at the Basic and Applied Virology Laboratory in the Microbiology Department of UFMG. He works mainly on the screening of new compounds with potential antiviral and anti-inflammatory activity against SARS-CoV-2, MHV-A59 and MPXV and on the evaluation of the adaptive immune response following infections with emerging and re-emerging viruses. Has experience in cell culture and in carrying out a variety of biological assays.
