Graduated (2005), Master (2008) and Doctorate (2011) in Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Catarina in the area of catalysis and organophosphates. Postdoctorate at the Federal University of Paraná (2011) in the area of nanomaterials. Received the awards Brazilian Women in Chemistry and Related Sciences from ACS (Brazil) in 2019, PhosAgro / UNESCO / IUPAC Green Chemistry for Life Research Award (Thailand), IUPAC Young Scientist-100 Years of the Periodic Table (Paris) in 2018, Rising Talents of L'Oreal-UNESCO (Paris) in 2016, For Women in Science LOreal-UNESCO-ABC (Brazil) in 2015 and CAPES Grand Prize of Thesis Milton Santos (Area: Exact and Earth Sciences and Multidisciplinary, Materials and Biotechnology ) in 2012. She has been a full member of the Brazilian Chemical Society since 2003, was part of its board as deputy treasurer (2018-2020) and co-founded an office to discuss gender parity, which was part of the coordination from 2018-2022. Currently, she is General Secretary of the Brazilian Chemical Society (2024-2026). She is affiliate member of the Brazilian Academy of Science (2021-2026). Was vice-coordinator of Graduate Program in Chemistry of UFPR (CAPES level 7) - 2021-2023. Is member of the scientific advisory board of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons OPCW (Netherlands). She is member of the Advisory Board of Chemical Society Reviews and also editor of the weakly Electronic Bulletin of the Brazilian Chemical Society. Since 2012, is Professor at the Department of Chemistry at the Federal University of Paraná, where she leads the research group Group of Catalysis and Kinetics (GCC). The main interests have been: (i) degradation and monitoring of pesticides and chemical weapons simulants; (ii) organophosphate chemistry and chemical security; (iii) development of sustainable nanocatalysts, artificial enzymes, biocatalysts and catalysts from waste, (iv) functionalization of nanomaterials; (v) hydrogen generation; (vi) scientific dissemination and gender parity innitiatives.
