He is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), where he also serves as a Permanent Faculty Member of the Graduate Program in Physics and Superintendent of the Capão do Leão Campus. He holds a Ph.D. in Sciences (Theoretical Physics) from UFRGS, with a research stay at the University of Stuttgart, and degrees in Physics from UFPel. He was Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Physics (20222024), a member of the University Council (20232024), and previously taught at the Federal University of Pampa (20132018). He is a CNPq Level 2 Research Fellow and an Affiliate Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (20222026). He was featured in the Emerging Investigators Collection of The Journal of Chemical Physics (2023) and Soft Matter (2024), and awarded a CAPES/Humboldt Fellowship for Experienced Researchers (2025). His research focuses on collective phenomena in soft and biological matter, including water anomalies, complex fluids, nanoparticle self-assembly, and cancer physics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
