Birthplace: Brazil

Ph.D. in Biological Sciences (Plant Biology)São Paulo State University (UNESP), Rio Claro Campus (2023).My academic and professional journey focuses on Plant Physiology, with an emphasis on Ecophysiology and Plant Genetic Transformation, using advanced techniques such as CRISPR/Cas and Plant Tissue Culture. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher (TT5-FAPESP) at the Sylvio Moreira Citrus Center, part of the Agronomic Institute (IAC), working on the project: Biotechnological and genomic strategies for quality, productivity, and sustainable management of citrus, coffee, and sugarcane in the State of São Paulo.Key Experience and Expertise:Citrus Genetic Transformation: Development and application of CRISPR/Cas gene editing techniques for citrus genetic improvement, aiming for disease resistance, abiotic stress tolerance, and increased productivity.Plant Tissue Culture: Expertise in plant regeneration and transformation protocols, focusing on agronomically important species.Ecophysiology and Nutritional Analysis: Experience in collecting and analyzing plant tissues and soils (physical and chemical parameters), as well as monitoring and interpreting plant physiological parameters.Work with Cerrado Native Species: Collection, identification, and ecophysiological studies of native species, contributing to the conservation and sustainable management of this biome.
