English Translation:Graduated in Languages (1989), with a master's degree (1994) and a doctorate (2013) in Applied Linguistics from the State University of Campinas. She completed her post-doctorate (2022-2023) through the Postdoctoral Researcher Program (PPPD) of the "Elza Berquó" Population Studies Center at Unicamp (Research Title: "Subsidies for policies on teaching Portuguese as an Additional Language and support for migrant children and their families in Child Education Centers and Basic Education schools"). In 2023, she was a Visiting Professor at the National University of Timor Lorosa'e in Timor-Leste. Since 2015, she has been a faculty member in the Department of Applied Linguistics at the Institute of Language Studies (IEL) at Unicamp, working in undergraduate programs, especially in the Bachelor's degree in Portuguese as a Second Language/Foreign Language/Additional Language, and in the Graduate Program in Applied Linguistics (PPG-LA). At the institution, she was the General Coordinator of the Language Teaching Center of the Languages without Borders Program and served as a member of the Sérgio Vieira de Mello Chair for the promotion of refugee rights (from 2017 to 2021). Additionally, she served as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Applied Linguistics/DLA-IEL (2020-2023), was the Vice-Coordinator of Research at IEL (2020-2022), and Pedagogical Coordinator of the Language Center (CEL) at Unicamp for two terms (2021 to 2022; 2023 to 2024). She is the leader of the IndisciPLAr research group - Portuguese as an Additional Language from an interdisciplinary perspective (Unicamp/CNPq) and a researcher at the Migration Observatory in São Paulo. She is the executor of agreements between IEL and the Faculty of Letters of the National University of Timor Lorosae in Timor-Leste, and with the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra in Coimbra, Portugal, and is a representative member of Unicamp at the PELSE Center (Disciplinary Center for Teaching Spanish and Portuguese as L2/L) of the Montevideo Group of Universities Association (AUGM). Her main research interests are: training of teachers of Portuguese as an Additional Language (PLA), language policies, public policies, internationalization, teaching of PLA to minoritized groups, identities, migrations and refuge, territorializations, democracy, and human rights.
