She has a degree in Industrial Pharmacy from the University of São Paulo (1990), a master's degree in Basic and Applied Immunology from the University of São Paulo (1993) and a doctorate in Basic and Applied Immunology from the University of São Paulo (1996). Full Professor at the University of Brasília and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto-USP (2023). He has experience in the area of Immunology, with an emphasis on Cellular Immunology and Medical Mycology, working mainly on the following topics: fungus-host interaction in paracoccidioidomycosis, chromoblastomycosis, and cryptococcosis, with an emphasis on macrophage activation, nitric oxide production, granuloma, and the inflammasome. She also develops work using peptides with anti-inflammatory activity and polysaccharides with immunomodulatory activity. She coordinated the Applied Immunology Laboratory at the Biology Institute, University of Brasília (1998-2023). She currently works as a Visiting Researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, São Paulo unit (Fiocruz), in the process of transfer between Federal Institutions. The main objective of the work carried out is to understand the fungus-host interaction with a view to more efficient therapeutic alternatives. Coordinator of the bachelor's degree in Biotechnology between 2018-2022. She participates in the INCT of Human Pathogenic Fungi (FUNVIR). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
