Natalia Costa Soares

I hold a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Ouro Preto - UFOP (2008), a master's degree (2011), and a PhD (2017) in Biological Sciences (Plant Biology) from the São Paulo State University (UNESP/ Rio Claro), and a teaching qualification in Biology from the Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais - CEFET/MG (2022). I was a researcher on the Institutional Training Program (PCI) of the National Institute of the Atlantic Forest (INMA), Santa Teresa, ES (2020-2022), and a post-doctoral researcher (2022-2024) at the Instituto de Investigaciones en Biodiversidad y Medioambiente (INIBIOMA) of the Universidad Nacional Del Comahue (San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro, Argentina), working with the Pollinator Ecology Group (EcoPol). In addition, I was a research fellow in Industrial Technological Development (DTI-A), integrating the INCT Pollination team, which is based at the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden Research Institute (IP/JBRJ), Rio de Janeiro. Currently, I am post-doctoral researcher of "Programa de Apoio à Fixação de Jovens Doutores no Brasil" - São Paulo/FAPESP, Instituto de Biologia, Universidade Estadual de Campinas (IB/UNICAMP). Furthermore, I worked as an environmental consultant on Botany and Plant Ecology projects. I have experience in Botany and Ecology with an emphasis on phenology and pollination, working mainly on the following topics: reproductive phenology and seasonal variations in resources, floral and reproductive biology, pollination, and intraspecific variation in natural plant populations.
