I have a degree in Biomedicine from the Fluminense Federal University (2008). I have a Master's degree in Biological Sciences (Biophysics) from the Carlos Chagas Filhos Institute of Biophysics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ-2013), where I worked mainly on the following topics: polylaminin, embryonic medullary neuron culture, and spinal cord injury. I completed my doctorate at the same institute, developing a project combining bioengineering using polycaprolactone with polylaminin in sciatic nerve regeneration. I completed my postdoctoral studies developing projects related to the peripheral nervous system, studying the effects of infectious agents such as Zika virus infection and amyloidosis, and evaluating Cerebral Dopamine Neurotrophic Factor (CDNF) as a promoter of neuritic potential and neuroprotective factors at the Institute of Medical Biochemistry (IBqM-UFRJ) under the supervision of Professor Débora Foguel. Currently conducting research that seeks to clarify pathways related to hypersensitivity and pain and the action of peptides with analgesic effects in an animal model, supervised by Professor Deborah Schechtman at the Institute of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo.
