Jomil holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2009) and a Master's and Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences from São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" UNESP (2015). He conducted his Ph.D. sandwich program at the Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research (CENSE) at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the New University of Lisbon - UNL/FCT. He has experience in the field of Geosciences, with an emphasis on Remote Sensing and Geoprocessing, primarily using Geographic Information Systems as a tool for environmental management and the development of environmental and social indicators. He worked as a lecturer at the University of Sorocaba (UNISO) between 2017 and 2019, where he taught courses in Environmental Engineering, Agronomic Engineering, Psychology, and Biology. Currently, they are conducting postdoctoral research at UNESP, focusing on the project titled "Temporal Analysis of Carbon Flux and Prediction Model using Spectral Indices." Additionally, they serve as a guest researcher at Freie Universität Berlin. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
