Birthplace: Brazil

I hold a Bachelor's degree (2009) and a PhD (2013) in Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution under the supervision of Professor Fernando R. Ornellas and a postdoctoral internship (2013-4) in the group of Professor Joel M. Bowman (Emory University). Between 2015 and 2024, I have been a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters at Ribeirão Preto at the University of São Paulo. In 2021, I obtained the title of Livre-Docente.I am at the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry and I currently conduct research in molecular spectroscopy and chemical kinetics, employing state-of-the-art computational chemistry, with a focus on the study of catalysts for clean energy generation and carbon dioxide capture. My recent publications include the use of the multireference coupled-cluster method to assess the accuracy of density functionals and experimental results for molecules containing transition metals; the investigation of molecular super-rotor spectroscopy; the development of diabatic potential energy surfaces for the study of chemical reactions in excited electronic states; the use of neural networks for potential energy surface fitting; the study of excited states of transition metal complexes combining multiconfigurational wave functions and density functional theory; and investigations of nanostructured and bioinspired catalytic systems.
