He is graduated (B.Sc. and Licentiate) from Instituto de Química at Universidade de São Paulo (IQ-USP) and he has a MSc and PhD from Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares (IPEN), from USP.He has experience in Chemistry, focusing on Analytical Chemistry, acting on the following subjects: x-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), neutron activation analysis (NAA), gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC/MS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopies.Recently, he has been working on the Conservation Science field, developing chemical methodologies for the conservation and restoration of objects of art, focusing on material characterization of Brazilian paints and conservation of metallic sculptures.
