Thérèse Rachell Theodoro

Graduated in Licentiate and Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from Centro Universitário Fundação Santo André (2002) and Master's degree in Health Sciences from Faculdade de Medicina do ABC obtained in Aug/2005). Doctorate in Health Sciences from Centro Universitário FMABC obtained in Aug/2014, following the line of research in molecular and cellular biology of malignant neoplasms. Post-doctoral degree from Centro Universitário FMABC (2022). He works in basic research at Centro Universitário FMABC since 2001: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, mainly on the following topics: Processing of human and animal material (blood and tissue): RNA extraction, RT-PCR, PCR, RT-qPCR, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (reaction, images and quantification), Biomolecular Markers of the Extracellular Matrix (Heparanases, Proteoglycans, Glycosaminoglycans, MMPs, Collagens) in malignant neoplasms such as Breast Cancer and also in penile (Peyronie's Disease) and skin (Psoriasis) inflammation. He teaches at the lato-sensu postgraduate course at the Centro Universitário FMABC in the discipline of Cancer Care (Molecular Bases of Cancer), Biochemistry Module and Cellular and Molecular Biology Module in the Specialization course in Human Physiology. Professor of biochemistry and bioethics in the undergraduate course of Management in Environmental Health, Cell Biology and Bioethics in the course of Technologist in Radiology since 2008; Bioethics in the Biomedicine and Psychology courses since 2022. It collaborates with the disciplines of urology, orthopedics, oncology, hematology, gynecology, head and neck surgery, dermatology and gastroenterology at Centro Universitário FMABC, applying techniques and analyzes of biochemistry and molecular biology to work carried out by these disciplines. Skilled in statistical analysis using the GraphPad Prism 5 program. Extension project in progress for the Biomedical course, aimed at chemical, biochemical and microbiological analysis of the water that supplies the Greater ABC Region.
